The entire logistics industry needs "a change of mentality, a new approach" focusing on sustainability, and Sos Logistica is ready to work together with companies to build this new paradigm. It’s a remark by the president of Sos Logistica Daniele Testi during the recent general meeting of the association, and here at Maganetti we couldn’t agree more with this idea. We were the first company to get the Sos Log certification for sustainable logistics, in 2018, and we are proud of the path that we have built together over these years.
Founded in 2025, during the recent general meeting Sos Logistica has started the path to be recognised as an ETS, a third sector institution. This process aims to consolidate and expand the cultural role of the association in the world of logistics and industrial transport in Italy.
According to Testi, at this stage the logistics industry needs "a cultural shift" that Sos Logistica is ready to support and accompany. The new regulations have triggered an important change on issues such as transparency and accountability, he remarked, but "we believe that one should not wait for legislation to find the opportunity to build a more sustainable governance".
At Maganetti we have been on this path for several years now, so we are happy to see an increasingly widespread attention to issues related to sustainability. More and more companies are seeing the economic benefits of the ecological transition, as pointed out during the general meeting by Enrico Giovannini, professor at the University of Tor Vergata: a sustainable approach is a strategic opportunity, he remarked, not only an ethical choice. Changing approach is challenging, we can attest to that, but it’s the right path forward.
