What do we mean with “sustainability”? At Maganetti, sustainability is the guiding principle on which we have rebuilt the Group’s business model over the past decade. Our mission is to provide our customers with transport and logistics services of the highest standard, while minimising environmental impact to the greatest extent technically possible, supporting local communities and the areas in which we operate, and pursuing an increasingly sustainable approach to profitability.
To achieve this overarching objective, we have identified four priorities, which guide both our strategic decisions and day-to-day operations: reducing vehicle emissions through the adoption of new technologies; introducing advanced biofuels (bioLNG); ensuring compliance with corporate and industry regulations; and promoting stakeholder engagement across our business processes.
We have always believed that transparency and objective performance measurements are essential both to driving continuous improvement and to building strong, trust-based relationships with our customers and the communities we work in. For this reason, as with quality management and operational processes, we place great importance on certifications for sustainable activities. They are a key tool for assessing our progress in terms of environmental impact and social performance.
We were the first company to obtain the SosLog certification and have held the TCR qualification since 2020, the same year in which we also completed the process of becoming a certified BCorp. Furthermore, Maganetti chose to become a Benefit Corporation, amending its Articles of Association to include, alongside profit objectives, the commitment to generating a positive impact on society and the biosphere.
In short, when we talk about sustainability, we are referring to an ambitious, long-term commitment that we put into practice step by step in our business activities, both through major initiatives—such as the bioLNG project—and through continuous everyday improvements. For our customers, this means receiving a high-quality, reliable and efficient service, with the assurance that it is planned and delivered with the utmost attention to environmental considerations and in full compliance with industry regulations.
