The ecological transition, the transformation of fuels, the use of new energy vectors, new solutions for "hard to abate" industries: we could not miss an event where institutions, companies, trade associations will discuss these key issues for the future of our industry. That’s why from 9 to 11 October we will be at BolognaFiere for Fueling Tomorrow, the event focused on decarbonization of industry, transport and mobility.
The event is a very important opportunity to explore innovations in fuels and energy systems, and to discuss strategies for the future, focusing on technological neutrality. This perspective is particularly important to us, since we're sure that our sector needs this kind of approach.
In a complex industry like logistics, if we want to achieve the goal of eliminate carbon dioxide emissions we must consider and incorporate every possible solution into our strategies: renewable sources and electric motors, biofuels, new technologies to reduce the impact of traditional fuels and capture CO2, hydrogen trucks and other future developments on engines and vehicle operation.
Technological neutrality means combining different energy sources and technological solutions, making choices based on science and without limiting the range of opportunities because of ideological bias, as the organizers of Fueling Tomorrow point out.
At the event in Bologna we will bring our practical experience in this type of projects: our trucks are entirely powered with LNG, we have a partnership with Cooperativa Speranza that produces biomethane from agricultural and livestock waste, we’re using an electric truck for one of our clients, Levissima, and our main site in Tirano runs on 100% renewable energy thanks to a larger solar power system we’ve completed last year.
Moving from fossil fuels to alternative sources that cut emissions is a challenging and complex path, not a linear and immediate transition, but in recent years - step by step - we’ve been able to significantly reduce the environmental footprint of our activities. To continue on this path, companies in the "hard to abate" sectors need strategies that don’t reduce their possibilities for progressive improvement and need to rely on clear regulations in the long term, so as to be able to structure sustainability paths over time.
To learn more about the Maganetti experience and discuss the future, we’ll be waiting or you at Fueling Tomorrow: 9-11 October, BolognaFiere, hall 22 booth A2.
